Family In The City Part Two: Visiting The Whitney Museum

09.30.15

A few months ago, Aaron and I signed up to be members at the Whitney Museum of American Art (it may or may not have been in order to skip the incredibly long line) and having family visiting in town is always the perfect excuse for a visit to one of my favorite museums. The Whitney is one of those places that has something for everyone. Also, you are so close to the Meatpacking District, Chelsea Market and the Highline. It is the perfect day trip!

We ate lunch up on the 8th floor Studio Cafe. The restaurant has amazing views of the city and delicious food for adults and littles (plus Stokke highchairs!).

The girls favorite thing to do is explore the outdoor gallery on the 5th floor. It is an exhibit called “Sunset” by Mary Heilmann and we all love how it forces us to interact with each other, strangers, and the city around us…and jump on things.

This is pretty much the way any picture with all four of us looks these days but I kind of love it : )
