Although it is only finally starting to feel like winter around here, I notice that even the slightest drop in temperature and humidity completely changes my skin. The summer is relatively easy for me- throw on some sunscreen and run out the door. However, the harsh winds and bitter cold of New York winter’s do a little more damage on my sensitive and easily irritated skin. I’m prone to redness and dryness and I feel like I have finally figured out what really works to keep my skin hydrated and glowing during the winter.
ONE / So I know I share about this product all the time but I am really obsessed and it is the only thing that saves my hands from cracking from dryness in the winter. Plus, it smells amazing!
TWO / This body oil is incredible. I slather a bunch on after showers while my skin is still a little wet to soak up extra moisture.
THREE / Caudalie is one of my favorite skincare brands. It is free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates which is crucial to me. This buffer cream gently exfoliates without over drying and leaves my super soft.
FOUR / Dry brushing did not seem appealing at all to me at first but after my mom insisted I give it a try, I’m a convert! I use this brush and love the way my skin feels after I use it. Besides extra smooth skin, other benefits include improved circulations and lymphatic drainage to release toxins and improve metabolic function.
FIVE / Oh man, the lips are the first thing to go in the winter. There is nothing worse than chapped lips that cracked and bleeding. I keep this lip balm on me at all time time to make sure they are protected from the wind and getting rid of the first signs of cracking.
SIX / This is the only part of my beauty routine that I do not change. Aesop’s face wash is so light that it works great for winter and summer.
SEVEN / This face mask is a total game changer. I use it 3 times a week and it gives you that dewy, glowing skin that I thought only existed on supermodels and in magazines. Seriously, its amazing.
EIGHT / My skin has pink undertones but my cheeks and chin can get extra red if irritated. This cream has a green tint that tones down any redness while adding tons of moisture back into my skin. It is a little pricey but lasted me about six months using it everyday so it was worth the investment for me.
NINE / I got a sample of this oil complex in a gift bag from a event over the summer and I went out and bought more the next day. You simply roll it on as the last step of your skincare routine, rub it in, and voila!
TEN / This balm is everything. I use it on my nails, my cheeks, and my lips. I go through it more frequently than any other product I use. Plus, it comes with adorable stickers that the girls just love! Can’t beat that!
ELEVEN / This peppermint body scrub is my absolute favorite. I use it in combination with their eucalyptus body wash and use the Tata Harper oil after every shower. They all smell heavenly and make me feel like I’m staying at a nice hotel.
