Edith and Lilah both adore books. Lilah just started really showing interest about six months ago and after her morning yogurt, she usually comes running back into my bedroom with 10 or so books in hand shouting “READ!” at the top of her lungs. Edith is just now starting to enjoy chapter books. She really loves to follow a storyline and have a deep connection to characters.
Recently we added the LostMy.Name books to our collection. Started by a group of Dads and Uncles, LostMy.Name seeks to bring back the magic and wonder to story time by combining technology, amazing stories, and a truly personalized experience to books. You simply go to their site, chose between two stories, and customize the book by answering a few questions about your child. I chose their original book for Lilah and their newest book about an intergalactic adventure for Edith because she is super into space adventures right now.
You wouldn’t believe how excited Edith was to open up her book and see her name written out in a constellation. She screamed out loud and couldn’t wait to tell everyone that there was a book just for her! I was even able to write in a special dedication in the beginning of the book to both of them and I just know that these will be something our family cherishes forever.
