#SayHi With Old Navy x Goop

05.10.17

When your friends at Old Navy ask you to come celebrate Mother’s Day and the launch of their latest collection, “Havana Nights”  with tacos and guacamole at Tacombi, you don’t say no! The team from Goop was also on board to host the most adorable cake decorating with edible flowers.  Click through to see more fun photos from the event and to shop our favorite looks from the collection!

The Havana Nights collection is probably my favorite to date. With bright colors, bold florals, and lots of “cold shoulder” pieces that are really on trend right now, there are so many good options to add to your summer collection. I picked up this dress and this jumpsuit for my trip to Spain in a few weeks.

We snacked on mini quesadillas, elotes, and chips and guacamole and had horchata and watermelon aqua fresca to freshen up. Everything was so delicious. They had also thoughtfully set up these adorable mini kitchen stations for the kiddos to play with. Lilah went around all night collecting all the eggs she could to make me food.

After a fun interactive tutorial with Thea Baumann, Food Editor at Goop, on how to make yummy delicious organge bundt cakes, the girls were able to head to the table and glaze and decorate their own. Lilah had the best time literally dumping out an entire bowl of edible flowers onto her cake. I’m not going to lie, I had a lot of fun decorating one myself!

We wrapped up the night by filming a quick interview with the girls for Mother’s Day. They asked Edie what her favorite thing I cooked was and she said “Steak and cucumbers”! I know she likes stead but I’ve probably only cooked it a handful of times. Oh, the things kids will say! Afterwards, we took our cakes home in these adorable wooden boxes. It was such an amazing afternoon and I’m so thankful that Old Navy and Goop had us.

Be sure to check out the entire Havana Nights collection here and shop our picks below!
