I know I’ve said it before but I still cannot believe that my little girl is going to Pre-K in just a few weeks. I’ve already set up playdates with a few of her classmates and I even signed up for the PTA! Edith picked out her favorite backpack a few weeks ago (I shared a few of our other favorites in this post) and then I took her to Target to pick up some “Back to School” clothes.
Mornings can be so hectic and now that her school starts 30 minutes earlier than her preschool did, we really need to be efficient with our time. I figured the easiest way to do that was to create a “mini capsule” wardrobe for Edith so that getting dressed in the morning would be fast and easy. Lets be honest, it will also help Aaron pull together a semi-decent outfit on his own too ; )
I tried to put together transitional pieces that she can wear all of fall by layering and I think all of these pieces are super easy to mix and match. My favorite look is the striped dress. It works great on its own or layered with a denim jacket, leggings, and boots when the weather gets cooler.
What are your favorite “back to school” essentials? Would you add anything else to the mini capsule wardrobe?
