One October day (a few weeks ago when it was actually cool enough to wear this) I finally got to break out my favorite new cardigan and stroll around the West Village with my hot coffee and enjoy the smell of fall in the air.
I’ve been on a pinning spree trying to plan my closet for Fall. It’s always so hard for me to try and create a “capsule collection” because I have a hard time figuring out my personal style. I blame it on being a Gemini, but for as long as I can remember I’ve always been so hard for me to have just one style and stick with it. I am so envious of those girls who completely embody the spirit of bohemia or have the city chic look down pat. Some days I want to be super preppy in all J.Crew while other days I want to relive my high school years and go totally emo in all Urban Outfitters. I can never be one all the time. Except for when Fall rolls around.
Fall is kind of like my spirit animal. Maybe that’s why San Francisco really suited me and I was able to keep my closet to a minimum. Give me a cozy sweater, leather jacket, a good pair of jeans, and some cute boots and I’m set. It’s the outfit I’d wear every day of the year if the weather permitted. So this Fall, I think I’m going to try and create a capsule collection. My friend Anna had the best one for Summer and now I’m totally inspired to give it a try. Hopefully soon I can put that together for you guys and share it here!
What’s your style season?
